PLAZUELA - CHURCH - MUSEUM ETHNIC RELIGIOUS AND HISTORICAL OF SACRED ELL


The museum Religious etnohistórico Santa Ana reconstructs the architecture of the first church of Indians built in the year 1569. The constant destructions that it suffered throughout the times, caused mainly by earthquakes, caused great deterioration and they hindered the restoration and conservation of their original structure.

EXHIBITION:

Architecture and city:
Aspects related to the Spanish foundation of Chachapoyas and their development through the history, also the history and evolution of the Church Santa Ana.

Expression of the cult and beliefs:
Images, religious symbolisms of all the times; ecclesiastical objects that it housed the church in their beginnings, suits and liturgical gears, portraits of Patron Virgin Asunta of the city of Chachapoyas, silver centilleros with iconography Chachapoyas and other shown ornaments in a didactic and interpretive way.

Culture Chachapoyas and cult to the Deads:
The investigation of the old culture Chachapoyas is focused through the funeral representative patterns and its cosmovisión of the world by means of the funerals, the archaeological pieces, historical elements and an exact replica elaborated in fiber of the temple bigger than Kuélap, as maximum expression of the religious cult of Chachapoyas.

Natural patrimony and the environment:
Diversity of flora species and fauna, considered endemic and of high value, they are represented through their conservation areas like the Reservation Santiago Comaina and Mountain range of Colán, where you can appreciate humid diverse forests you inhabit of the Wonderful Hummingbird or Line of Spatula, autochthonous bird of the region.

Alive patrimony, uses, customs and traditions of the region of Amazons:
