CORONGO


Corongo is one of the counties of the department of Ancash. This county is cradle of Pallas of Corongo, the panatahuas and the Bush San Pedro.

The County of Corongo, this divided in seven (7) districts: Aco, Bamba, Corongo, Cusca, the Pampas, Yánac and Yupán.

Snowy Champara (5,735 msnm) is considered as emblem and symbol of the coronguinos. But additional to this, four exist but, like they are: Pajra (5,718 msnm); Gaico (5,049 msnm), Rosko or Mountain range (5,087 msnm) and Cashcarajra or San Julian (5,020 msnm). First both are considered as of discharge difficulty in their scaling.

LAGOON HUINCHOS (HUINCHUS) - CUSCA
They exist in the area but of 50 lagoons, being those but important those that are in the district of Cusca, as Rutu, Chaljat, Carangay, Huinchus and Sarca; that this formed by two lagoons.

PANATAHUAS
PANATAHUAS
The gear of a panatahua consists of: Cap, mask, white shirt, black tie, tapes of cloth of colors, shawls with fringes, pant, llanques or sandals, tape chicotillas or cloth of colors with two bent brunches and with a single ear.


Inside their tourist natural atrativos, they deserve to be mentioned in a special way the thermal bathrooms of Pacatqui and Aticara, which have relaxing and healing properties for their iron content, sulfur and other active elements in form of ions.
