CORONGO: HISTORY OF THE BRIDGE OF LIME AND SONG

From the cold punas of Tuctubamba, they lower the waters of the River Corongo, which crosses the city, dividing it in two. This river reflects under a bridge of lime and song of two arches.

The bridge unites three main neighborhoods of the town of Corongo: Chopimarca with Cayarina and Malambo. To be the only bridge, many people to cut road go by the river, jumping of stone in stone, under the risk of to slide and to fall to the waters of the river, ending up being wet footwears and pants, for the pedestrians' amusement.

This work is pride of the town coronguino, you materializes in the "republic", like a resurrection of the collective works of the Incan time. Unfortunately he/she has forgotten the name of the authors of the work, which is unbeatable.

As they count the stories but old of this town, for their construction the ladies the singles donated chicha pitchers, the widows, eggs for the mixture with the lime, the town; the force. The figured stones for the work, drove them from the ruins preincaicas of Coronguimarca and Trumpet Irca.

In a rectangular stone incrusted in the south side, the following thing is read: "The day May 8 1860 you this work began and it concluded October 27 1861."

From the bridge one has a good vision of the whiteness of the summit of snowy Champará that dazzles in a blue bottom of the sky.
