THE LAGOON DE LLANGANUCO


In fact it is not about the Lagoon of Llanganuco, it is about the lagoons of Llanganuco, although also the Gulch of Llanganuco the one could be said which is famous for the lagoons that are in her.

The lagoons of Llanganuco are two and they are to 25 km to the northeast of the city of Yungay (to 45 minutes in car).

The lagoons Chinancocha and Orconcocha are inside the National Park Huascarán and they are born of the thaw of snowy Huascarán, Huandoy, Pisco, Yanapaccha and Chopicalqui.

The lagoon of Chinancocha or female" "lagoon is practically to the foot of Huascarán and it is characterized by the turquoise intense green color of its waters and the dense queñua forests that grow in its banks.

The other lagoon, smaller and denominated Orconcocha or "lagoon male", it is located at the end of the valley glacier and their waters are of celestial color.
