Complex that contributes lights about the urbanism in the Andean Area, because it exhibits good planning in the distribution of their constructive units and the organization of the busy space.
It is located to some 16 kms of Casma, continuing for the highway to Huaraz, about 2 kilometers beyond the deviation that drives to the archaeological place of Sechín, a trail carrozable exists on the edge of a hill that after 7 kilometers through Pampas Rosario, passes through the place before arriving at the current town of Moxeke (Mojeque).
Another form of guiding is been that Mojeque is to the South of the chain of denominated hills San Francisco, this is to the right margin of the river Casma, in an alluvial plain with more than 50 hectares of extension.

THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREA
From 1937, because Julio C. Tello divided it, it is known as Pampas of Flames, to the South sector, and Mojeque, to the North sector.
In fact, Pampas of Flames and Mojeque are parts of oneself center town that you/they obey a very early planning in the basin of Casma.
SECTOR PAMPAS OF FLAMES
It is composed of many constructions of stones and adobes (conical, trunk-conical and paralelepípedos), where a great building denominated by Tello stands out: Waka TO, of rectangular plant, constituída for enclosures by way of damero, with lateral accesses, and very official statements.
Lateral to the great building there are two squares semihundidas and framed by staggered walls. The square of the side NE is prolonged with an almost rectangular small enclosure in whose center a circular well is.
The building constituted a great palace made with conical adobes and stones with mortar of mud; the walls plastered carefully, he/she has painting mural and reliefs polícromos in the facade of the main atmospheres, as the incomplete characters discovered by Thomas Pozorski, also, the curved present corners in repetitive form and the lithic sculpture with the representation of a hand and a snake bífida, remember the style of the architecture and sculpture of Sechín, to which is related culturally.
It is important to point out that this Palacio and the Temple of Mojeque are in the same axis and linked between both by five contiguous squares that assure the unit of the archaeological group.
Lateral to Palacio they are square several enclosures with curved corners and clerks to him. Also, they highlight the planned disposition of two extensive groups of constructions, lateral and halfway of Palacio, constituídos for small temples, adoratorios, patios, streets, housings and deposits. It is certain the due planning.
For the side SO of Palacio crosses a prehispanic road formed by two arrays of stones that it starts up in the skirt of the hill San Francisco and it finishes in the archaeological city The filiation Purgatory Wari.
After this road and in the perimeter of a square there are prints of bends corresponding to agricultural old furrows, probably Chimú.
Most of their constructions corresponds Early to the Formative Period, with a bigger antiquity to the 1,700 years to.n.and. and they are of filiation Sechín. There are also influence constructions Santa, Wari, Chimú and Casma-Chimú.
It is another group with wide squares, residence units, terraces, cemeteries; a staggered great pyramid whose terraces communicate by means of perrons from the main entrance to Northwest side highlighting.
The pyramid was lifted with stones and cement of mud, although it was also used conical adobes that you/they appear above the third platform. He/she has square plant, curved corners, it measures 170 m approximately. for side and more than 25 m. of height.
The first perron leads to a platform where there is a wide lobby then it pulls up another perron that takes to an interior gallery, on which there is a square enclosure of curved corners. Above they are other high terraces with not well conserved structures. The walls of this pyramid were in having shined, decorations with reliefs polícromos, painting mural and he/she should have recorded stones.
But the really spectacular of Moxeke rests in the calls idols and other images policromadas, found in the third platform the one which this divided by a lobby. Tello discovered to side right six enormous idols made with stones and mud inside big niches of 3.90 m. of height. These reliefs polícromos are human reasons, they represent expensive and means superior bodies; among them there are other inserted reliefs, incomplete, condiseños serpentiformes of figures partially destruídas.
