Sister Ana was given to the religious catalinas to the 3 year-old age for her education and instruction; that were for that time mainly linked the moral formation and nun.

It is believed that their parents retired it from the monastery to the 10 or 11 years to marry it, what would not be anything stranger for that time in that the parents committed their daughters being still smaller than 14 years, minimum age for a valid marriage.

Being in their paternal home had the vision of Santa Catalina of Siena, in which showed him/her the habit of the nuns closing dominicas. Then he/she decides to return to the monastery, driven by a called small boy Domingo.

Their parents when knowing the fact, were about discouraging it, offering him/her jewels, but she stayed strong. Their father finally accepted his decision and it supported her, but his mother could not accept it saying him/her him not to return more to her house.

The gift that he/she should pay when entering the he/she gave their brother Francisco, their mother in spite of being able to cover the I mount, he/she refused flatly to make it.

Some nuns supported her and they promised to help her, but others were against her, saying that like he/she will be a Prioress, somebody that not wise to read neither to write. This position brought him/her many problems with some nuns who were about poisoning her until in three opportunities. They met disconformes with the measures of austerity that Sister had imposed Ana, during her priorate and in the one that demanded all the nuns to dress their habits without any decoration of gold.

Miracles and Predictions

The narrow relationship of Sister Ana of Angeles of Monteagudo with the souls of the Purgatory, was decisive for her predictions, the same ones that were generally of necrological character.

In several opportunities it predicted illnesses of some of their relatives; for some it predicted the cure, in the case of other, the unavoidable death. These announcements many times they were taken with rejection, distrust and incredulity by people that suffered in an or another way. Other but the extraordinary facts that during their life Sister carried out Ana of Angeles were.

People that met her personally ended up pointing out a total of sixty eight predictions all fulfilled ones, carried out by the venerable nun.

Last Years

The venerable nun's catalina last years they lapsed in the darkness of the blindness. He/she had a lot of difficulty to walk, however never he/she complained or it felt unhappy to run that luck. To weigh that any effective remedy didn't exist to calm its terrible pains, it accepted with all humility that that the Mr. he/she had him/her prepared, being model of a superior delivery and of a full and total trust in God.

Before being buried Sister Ana, a painter it captured their factions in a portrait that is since the only and true testimony graph that has been for the posterity of their face, in life so mundane elegance it avoided.

The painter had converged to the Monastery in spite of the fact that in those days it was affected by strong pains and even of a widespread swell of his body. He/she hardly finished to paint the venerable nun's portrait, in a small canvas and while it left for the goal, it healed completely and immediately the illness that had affected it in the last days, disappeared.

After their death the miracles continued; numerous cases of people that you/they suffered some illness and when being commended Sister Ana or to play some garment that it belonged him/her, the wrongs that they suffered disappeared. All these facts motivated the nuns catalinas to unite testimonies and to present a petition that is to say July of 1686, 19 to six months of their death, so that the venerable nun becomes the first Santa of Arequipa, process that has not still arrived to her end.
