The Real Identification of December 26 1665 ordered the establishment of a parish of Spaniards in the city of Cajamarca and it was built in the old House of Justice the temple that, in 1682, it would be high to the cathedral category. Group Monumental Nativity

Monumental Group Recoleta
Intersection of Av. the Teacher and Av. the Heroes. Visits: L-D 8:00-12:00 and 16:00-20:00.

This group is compound for the church and the convent, both constructions of the second half of the XVII century. The facade of the temple has form of altarpiece plateresque neoclassicist, with elegant reed-maces instead of towers. Its interior, formed by a single ship, shines a beautiful dome, the high choir and three sober altars.

Natural Sacred Mirador Apolonia
Located in the high part of city, the main entrance is for Jr. May two, to two blocks of the Square of Weapons. You visit L-D 9:00-13:00 and 15:00-17:00.

The hill Santa Apolonia, formerly call in Quechua Rumi Tiana (stone seat), is a strategic point to appreciate the city and the valley of Cajamarca. In the boundaries they are some vestiges of prehispanic constructions as the call "Seat of the Inca", formed by a stone block that comes out of the own hill and that it was carefully carved to give him/her their current form. It highlights, between the perrons and gardens, a chapel consecrated the Virgin of Fátima.

Room of the Rescue

It is the only vestige of Inca architecture in the city. It was built in stone, with the walls lightly bowed to give him/her the form trapezoidal characteristic of the Inca constructions. Complex Archaeological of Cumbemayo
To 20 km to the Southwest of the city of Cajamarca (45 minutes in car). You visit L-D 9:00-17:00.

Overdraft in 1937, the complex is surrounded by an interesting forest of stones that you/they seem to reproduce the silhouettes of compassionate friars (for that that colloquially are denominated "frailones"). Also, they highlight the Aqueduct (1000 a.C.), singular work of hydraulic engineering; the denominated Sanctuary, headland with appearance of a human gigantic head; and The Caves, where engravings or petroglifos exist.

Complex Archaeological of Layzón
To 9 km to the Southwest of the city of Cajamarca (20 minutes in car).

The main structure was built with a continuous overlapping of stones semicanteadas and six platforms united by perrons exist; in the hillsides there are aligned several enclosures, and toward the southeast a great platform appears. Windows of Otuzco
To 8 km to the northwest of the city of Cajamarca (10 minutes in car). You visit L-D 9:00-17:00.

The necropolis of Otuzco is known popularly with the name of "Windows of Otuzco" by its particular aspect, because the square or rectangular niches were carved in a rocky surface of volcanic origin in serial lines. For the action of the looting, it is difficult to determine their exact antiquity, but some evidences allow to associate them with the culture Caxamarca that had influence in the region among the years 300-800 d.C.

The Bathrooms of the Inca
To 6 km to the east of the city of Cajamarca (10 minutes in car). Visits: L-D 6:00-18:30.
