ENCAÑADARUTA CAJAMARCA - AMAZONS

Encañada is a district cajamarquino of green and sheltered countryside whose economic main activities are the agriculture and the cattle raising, standing out the cultivations of corn, barley and potato, as well as pastizales for the livestock milkman. Here the walker finds small trades with basic products.

The tourist main attractiveness of this district is the oldest cemetery in Peru, which is known as the Windows of Combayo, with more than 3500 years of antiquity, they are rectangular or square cavities carved in full rock, in the same way that its couple in Otuzco, alone that less well-known to be more distant of the city. There hundred of perfectly conserved niches belonging to the culture Caxamarca can be seen.

Another tourist attractiveness is that of the lagoon San Nicolás, to single 25 minutes of Combayo. There one can, next to the residents of the area, to fish trouts and to enjoy the magnificent landscape. A little later on he/she is the waterfall Cruz, also well-known as The Corner.
