CUSILLUCHAYOC OR TEMPLE OF THE MONKEYS


Cusilluchayoc is a Quechua word that translated to the Castilian it would mean "temple or place that he/she has monkeys." It is directly to 500 meters to the east of Big Quenco.

A stands out in this archaeological complex a carved great stone of almost two meters of high in the one that making worse the imagination you can appreciate the form of a toad. In that rock they are visible reliefs of snakes and of monkeys, that which is assumed gave the name to the place.

It is without place to doubts; of a place of archaeological great value that has galleries and corridors that communicate to each other. The walls were sculpted and they housed niches, you can appreciate the remains of a pile of water, which is assumed was used with liturgical or ritual ends, and the sculpture of a great feline, probably a puma.

For their proximity to the Temple of the Moon, this area is continued using to carry out magic rituals, religious, as they demonstrate it the offerings of opposing flowers in the place.
