KANCHA

The pattern of cluster of the housings and, in general, the constructions were almost always the kancha, a rectangular surrounded enclosure of stone walls, with a single access in whose interior, distributed simétricamentre, they lifted between two also to eight plant constructions rectangular and unicelulares. Between kancha and kancha narrow alleys ran, what determined that the cities in their group had a layout octogonal, constituted by a system of practically rectilinear streets. A peculiarity of the architecture of Incan Cusco, that yes, it was their perfect adaptation to the topography of the valley and the natural accidents, that which made that in many cases the original grid was deformed and that the alleys became serpentine.
