MAIN CHURCH DE HUACAR, SAN MIGUEL ARCHANGEL


The Main Church of Huácar, in homage to its patron saint, San Miguel Archangel, is one of the oldest and first churches of Huánuco, it dates of the year 1,600 aprox. and it was built by the Franciscan parents.

Inside the temple; of alone an atmosphere, highlights particularly, the biggest Altar, of Baroque style, with golden fillets in plaster, presents three bodies with columns salomónicamente ornamented with clusters of grapes. Interrupting the entablamiento of the first body, a niche is introduced, in the one that the Pure Virgin's image is, flanked by San Antonio and Sacred Domingo.

Below in the first body they are San Miguel's Archangel images; who is boss of the Church and of the town of Huácar, they are also the imagenenes of San Francisco from Assisi and of Santa Rosa from Lima.
