ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREA THE WALLS


This architectural interesting rest is to 2 km. of current city of Nasca, in the Km. 1de the highway to Cusco, has a dimension of 2Km. of long for 80 mt of wide, he/she gets up in the hillside of some small hills.

Since the archaeologists began their studies, they identified to this archaeological place as "WALLS", but the historical studies have discovered that their first-born name and of Incan origin it was CAXAMARCA.

Walls were built for specific ends, such as to exercise an administrative control and to be nexus between the coast and the mountain. For their great span of their constructions they embraced an extension of almost 2Km2, it could not be a "Real simple Tambo", but rather besides fulfilling this administrative function, it was the residence of the representative from Cusco in this part of Costa, which maintained their show, servitude, maidens, administrators, soldiers and bound population to them.
