THE PERUVIAN DOG


The dog without hair of Peru is a nice company animal, extroverted and obedient. The temperature of its body has three grades more than that of the human beings, because its hair lack forces him to elevate its corporal temperature to compensate the loss of heat through the naked skin. It has been recognized officially as national patrimony of Peru.

I USE IN TRADITIONAL MEDICINE

Due to the hair lack, this race maintains its hotter body to be protected of the atmosphere. Pedro Weiss points out in its investigations that the Dog without Hair of Peru genetically has a syndrome of hipoplasia ectodérmica, that which means that it possesses warm and sensitive skin that can heat it when entering in contact with the human skin, for example that which has been base to attribute him/her medicinal properties, to alleviate the rheumatism.

There is who have attributed to the Peruvian dog the capacity to avoid allergies, bronchial problems and asthma, because he/she doesn't neither have hair that could cause breathing problems, fleas neither ticks, since these don't have where to nest.

ANTIQUITY
They exist representations that appear in the ceramios of different cultures preincas, as Vicus, Mochica, Chancay, Chancay with influence tiahuanacoide, Sicán and Chimú. In these representations, the Dog without Hair ago their appearance from the year 300 adC until the one 1.460 d.c.

They have also been bones of the Peruvian dog that date of times precolombianos. In 1987 the archaeologist Walter Alva discovered in the center of a great platform of mud known as Rent" "Huaca, the tomb of a character important moche to who called the Mr. of Sipán that rested in a mortuary box, surrounded of eight skeletons of servants, two women and a dog.

These dogs completed an important list inside the customs and myths of the Inca. The chronicles of the time of the Spanish conquest and the colony gave testimony of the presence of the viringos. People of the field conserved the dog without hair, associated to her own culture and you/he/she used it for medicinal ends.

IT CARVES

It exists three types of sizes for males and females.

Small: from 25 to 40 cm
Medium: from 40 to 50 cm
Big: from 50 to 65 cm

WEIGHT

The weight is in connection with the three sizes for the males and for the females.

Small: from 4 to 8 kg
Medium: from 8 to 12 kg
Big: from 12 to 25 kg

COLOR

There are black copies that are hotter and of color undoubtedly are the more frioleros. Not all have whole color, there are some that are spotted.
