As well as many theories exist on the poblamiento of America, other so many hypotheses exist on the appearance of the dog without hair in Peru. The certain thing is that since there is culture in Peru and this is manifested through the ceramic, there are evidences of the presence of these dogs. It is so we can be represented them in vessels of so old cultures as Chavín (800 a.C.), Moche (600 d.C.), Wari (700 d.C.), Vicús (300 d.C.), Chimú (1100 d.C.), Chancay (1100 d.C.) and Inca (1450 d.C.), giving us a margin of time of their presence from very old. They are represented in huacos with different uses, as whistles, vessels, trumpets or hooters and in so daily scenes as a childbirth, the dog with their puppies or the breastfeeding, demonstrating that they were in their majority considered as our ancestors' mascots.


On the race of this dog there is very little writing and much less he/she has spread.

They are known as Viringos that in the language muchic, he/she means nude or calato, he/she should not made a mistake with the Dog Chinese Crestado that also lacks hair in the body, but it presents great quantity of hair in the paws and head.

Many varieties exist in their size; being three, and in their colors, llendo of the black one, going by the lead and arriving hasa the rosy one, there being a veriedad with stains that orchid is called.

They are extremely sought-after abroad for their esbeltes and elegance when walking, winning competitions of beauty against other races and ending up being champion in the competitions eurpeos.
