COUNTY DE HUAROCHIRI
The county of Huarochirí is located in the central and oriental part of the department of Lima and its territorial extension is of 5657,9 Km2.
Their jurisdiction embraces the presence of rivers with regulating flow like Rímac, Lurín and Santa Eulalia; hence its geography is, somehow, divided by the presence of the high mountains, as Chilca that is 3793 m.s.n.m.
Their territory understands the ecological floors of Yunga, Quechua, Suni, Puna and Janca or Mountain range. The region Janca is on 48000 m.s.n.m. and, in Huarochirí, it is unquestionable the presence of the western mountain range of Andes in the area of Ticlio and Pariakaka. There the climate is rigorous, it is characterized by the domain of the solid (hailstorms, snowy) precipitations, of the negative (of up to 25 grades under zero) temperatures and of a very dry atmosphere; however, it is a paradise for venturesome andinistas and the place where he/she takes possession the condor, the biggest bird in the planet.
Huarochirí is conformed by 32 districts: MATUCANA, ANTIOQUIA, CALLAHUANCA, CARAMPOMA, CHICLA, Basin, HUACHUPAMPA, HUANZA, HUAROCHIRI, LAHUAYTAMBO, LANGA, LARAOS, MARIATANA, RICARDO Palm, S. ANDRÉS DE TUPICOCHA, SAN ANTONIO, SAN BARTOLOMÉ, SAN DAMIAN, SAN JUAN DE Iris, SAN JUAN DE TANTARANCHE, SAN LORENZO DE QUINTI, SAN MATEO, SAN MATEO DE OTAO, SAN PEDRO OF Breed, SAN PEDRO DE HUANCAYRE, SANGALLAYA, Sacred Cross DE COCACHACRA, Sacred EULALIA, SANTIAGO DE ANCHUCAYA, Tuna SANTIAGO, Sacred Sunday OF OLLEROS and Furrow.
Located in the valley of the river Rimac. Kilometer 75 of the highway Center (2 hours in car). To an Altitude of 2,389 msnm. The climate is dry and temperate with a temperature average of 27º C in summer and up to 19º in winter.
Ideal place for the practice of the walks, the adventure tourism and nature. The natural reservations, resources paisajísticos and archaeological places of cultural important testimony prevail.
To their arrival he/she will find the red bridge 'Eduardo of Habich'y the welcome arch. The visit is recommended to Saint John the Baptist Church, built by the parents Jesuits during the years of the colony. Traveling their narrow streets of stone, he/she will be able to appreciate the colonial large houses with beautiful balconies.

SACRED EULALIA, SAN PEDRO OF BREED AND MARCAHUASI.
To 80 km to the northeast of the city of Lima crossing the town of Chosica and taking a deviation toward the left, the course of the river Santa Eulalia is continued until arriving at the town of San Pedro of Breed (3 hours of Lima in car approximately), from this town located to 3180 msnm, 3 km (2 hours at horse or 4 hours on foot) is traveled.
Sacred Eulalia is a small and welcoming town in the outskirts of Lima, in the km 39 of the Central Highway that it will cross in its route toward Marcahuasi. Few kilometers further on, in Chosica, he/she will have to take a deviation and to ascend during four hours, between eucalyptuses and sanpedros, for a road affirmed until San Pedro of Breed, to 3.350 msnm. Go for a walk for this town of paved streets and amusing balconies that he/she has an enormous church in their uneven square and that it marks the beginning of the walk of approximately three hours until Marcahuasi. If he/she prefers to climb to loin he/she can rent horses, hiring the service in the town, where there is lodging if he/she wants to spend the night.
Marcahuasi is a plateau of 4 extension km2 to more than 4000 msnm where enormous rocks erosionadas are appreciated by action of the wind and of the water. Many stand out until the 26 meters high and they present anthropomorphic forms and zoomórficas. If he/she wants to spend the night in the plateau, it is necessary to take appropriate team.
WATERFALLS OF SHOVEL KALA
To 67 km to the east of the city of Lima for the Central (1 hour 20 minutes in car approximately) Highway until the town of San Jerónimo of Furrow, from this point one walks toward the falls of water.
They are located in the heights of the town of San Jerónimo of Furrow, to almost 3000 meters of altitude. You consents to them after a walk from 3 to 4 hours through horseshoe roads and paths, after the walk it is possible to dive in the puddles. FORESTS DE ZARATE
To the height of the km 56 of the Central highway are San Bartolomé's town, of where it leaves the route of 7 hours on foot toward the Forests of Zárate (3100 msnm)
The road toward this forest is narrow and zigzaging. They are crossed a group of picturesque towns of the mountain until arriving to this dense forest. Their visit is recommended in the months of April to June.
Caves of Three Windows (3710 msnm approximately).
To 80 km to the east of the city of Lima, to be arrived he/she takes a road affirmed in the last 50 kms, to the town of Escomarca, from where the villagers can guide the visitor (20 minutes on foot).
The specialists suppose that 10,000 years ago the caves were occupied by men with ability to work the since stone they have been lance tips and other lithic devices that at the moment are exhibited in the Museum of Anthropology, Archaeology and History of Free (Lima) Town. They are considered as the best conserved of the paleolithic era in South America.
In the km 69 of the Central Highway, an on the way to earth leads to the town of Governesses. From there there are two forms of arriving to Huacapune (3.800 msnm). The first require a bigger effort, because it implies the abrupt ascent to the hill Tompongo in whose summit is the archaeological remains. The other one is longer and calmer, since the road stretches out until the bottom of the gulch and raisin for the petroglifos of rock Snake (a reptile is observed carved in a headland). In both cases it is necessary to walk some 5 hours.
In Huacapune, more than the external structures, it surprises the great quantity of underground enclosures, with rooms of small dimensions. The view is excellent, and the whole gulch Yanajune is sighted, and, to the other side of the valley of Rímac, to the hill of Huacre (4.470 msnm).
