THE BIRDS OF THE SWAMP


As well as the other animals, the birds of the swamp have an important paper in the displacement and material migration and energy of the system; they are indicative environmental of the conservation state and one of the attractive tourist (birdwatching) pricipales.

The birds residents, exclusive or endemic of the swamps they only inhabit these ecosystems and they are characterized to have high paws that allow them to move in the muddy, marshy substratum; they have a long pick, with tip (tri-colored, blue, white heron) and/or curved as the blue cangrejera that feeds mainly of small crabs, others as the grey manglero, the gallineta and the chiroca rake the branches of you hoist them and the surface of the sustrato in search of small insects; the rosy spatula uses its typical pick as tactile tool to locate its food that you/they are fish, shrimps and others.
